While your here look at all my craft articles and see if you find something you would like to do. Let's say you want to learn how to crochet. Buy one crochet hook. Size H would be good for a beginner. You don't want to buy a whole set of crochet hooks until you find out if this is what you really want to learn. Buy a small skein of worsted weight yarn. This will be a good size to practice with a size H crochet hook. The yarn is not to small so you can't see your stitches and it's not big and bulky.

Start slow. Don't expect to learn everything in one day. Then again, if you master the basics, keep practicing. Lay it down for a few days and then try it again to see how much you remember. If you are having trouble, print the directions or get a beginner book from the library. This way you can practice someplace other than sitting in front of a computer.

You can take a class to learn how to crochet if you can't master it on your own. Most schools have night programs. Also, any craft store always has classes. Even some libraries have knit and crochet groups where you can get help. My site is a stepping stone for beginners. It should whet your appetite for something you want to learn. Crafting is also a hobby. You want to enjoy what you do and expand your knowledge as anyone does with a hobby they enjoy.
